Entry Requirements
There are no academic entry requirements for these qualifications. Students are required to provide their Unique Student Identifier (USI) which we can assist with, photo identification and meet the language, literacy and numeracy requirements.
Course Overview
The Certificate IV in Mental Health is designed for students seeking to enter or progress within mental health and welfare support roles. This qualification equips you with practical recovery-oriented skills to support people affected by mental illness across a range of settings.
With this qualification, you can step into roles in community outreach and support coordination, working alongside organisations that focus on mental health, recovery and wellbeing, all within clear industry and professional guidelines.
Training Delivery Mode
This course is predominantly classroom based. Training is delivered through our Registered Training Organisation: Industry Skills Training RTO ID 40486.
Recommended Course Structure
A total of 15 units are required to complete the Certificate IV in Mental Health; eleven (11) core and four (4) elective units. Unit selection may vary dependent on delivery method and location. Call us today for more information.

Eligibility For Government Funding
Students are able to access mainstream training under the government subsidised Jobs & Skills WA Program. You are eligible for a subsidised training place if you have left school, your primary place of residence is in Western Australia and you are:

an Australian citizen:
-
holders of a sub-class 300, 309, 444, 445, 449, 461, 785, 786, 790, or 820 visa
-
secondary holders of a temporary visa of subclass 188, 457, 482, 489, 491 or 494 visa;
-
holders of a Bridging Visa E (subclasses 050 and 051) where the visa holder has made a valid application for a visa of subclass 785 or 790;
-
holders of a bridging visa who are eligible to work, and who have made a valid application for a subclass 86
Please note: Funding for this qualification program is provided under the Priority Industry Training Program, which means that to be eligible, you must be employed for at least 20 hours per week.
